An online petition has been created by a group of gamers, Torch for Gaming. They thoroughly believe eSports should be part of the olympics, so they're trying to make this happen through this online movement!"We the signees of this petition believe in the Olympics. We believe in their virtuous philosophy, their inclusive spirit, and their noble goals. We are gamers and we too want to be Olympians." is the group's statement on their online website, hoping gamers from across the globe will sign their online petition. With their slogon, "Tougher than ice dancing, Faster than synchronised swimming, More relevant than curling", I am sure this will spark some interest, and hopefully we'll see an gaming event at 2016 Olympics! The petition currently has 1843 signatures from 54 countries.. Go and sign up, and be sure to tell your friends about this! I know I'd love to see this happen! |
