Yes, it can. As you start the tutorial, you see that this game has been designed around sending units to each other. The maps, gameplay and tower-wars like strategy is all built around each other, and it fits together very well, using a mixture of gold and 'battle points', you upgrade gold mines to make more cash, upgrade your castle to be more defensive upon attackers (if they get through your primary defenses), upgrade your units and much more.As you start the game with the tutorial, you'll see how well the game has been developed. As you start, you'll get three level one mines. These can be upgraded with more workers, and eventually, to level 2 and 3 mines (maybe 4 and 5 too, I haven't had a game that far). Gold is used for building units, towers and upgrading any existing towers.
Amazing graphics on this genre of gaming Gold is generated through mines. Each team has three mines, which can be upgraded and peasants to be hired to mine for you. This allows the income rate of your team to go up, allowing you to send more units, therefore get more battle points, and progress further within the game, not only with units, but with towers, more peasants and much more. Keeping up with the gold mines are essential, fall back and your opposition is surely going to slaughter you sooner or later. One of the main factors in the game, and something that I thought was an amazing idea, are 'battle points'. Battle points are awarded when you send units to your opponent, and the amount you get is based on how far into the base of the opponent you get. This is used only for sending units, primarily. You'll also need them to increase your gold income, which is a great way or restricting the players from massing gold. Upgrades that are allowed with battle points are varied. You can upgrade your defenses on your main castle, as well as a lot of upgrades available for each unit specifically and general unit upgrades that allow stuff like 10% increase in damage, 10% increase in speed or 10% increase in defense for units, as well as a lot more upgrades that are essential for survival and essential for winning at later rounds. The main aspects of the game are perfect. I don't have any way this game could have made the gameplay any better, every tower is needed and usable, each upgradable, the aesthetics of each towers suit the name and usage, it's just absolutely amazing. Honestly, gameplay wise, it's the best tower defense I've ever played in my life, it's absolutely amazing - the team play, as well as the 'wars' part of stuff (playing against each other) is superb, they couldn't have done it more right.
Mazing around the well-made maps is great fun! The only downfalls to this game are the lack of maps and customization for games. There are only three maps, which is very disappointing - although, the maps the are used are all different, require different mazing and tactics, and allow for a lot of different ways to build your towers. If it had more maps, and they were up to the standard of the maps that are already out, it would be a very well added addition to the game, honestly. Another two to three maps, it would be perfect. As for customization, that could be solved with just a few settings. One example of this is, when you're playing games, there is no way what so ever to customize how the games go ahead. For example, a great setting would be to allow no sight of the oppositions team, so you don't know how far they're advanced and stuff. This is not available, and in every game you can see each other's base - and although not a bad thing, I feel things like this should be allowed to be adjusted within the settings of each game, and the host should be able to choose this sort of thing. I would advise anyone to buy this game! Honestly, if you're a fan of tower defenses in general and think it would be fun to play against friends in a friendly tower wars game, then this is the game for you! Elegant, beautiful visuals with amazing gameplay mechanics, there is some great fun to be had with this game! Anyone who does get it, personal message me on the site for a game! |
