According to officials, the investigation into the stabbing that took place on Wednesday at a BART station in San Francisco is already underway.
According to NBC Bay Area, the San Francisco police have confirmed that one person was stabbed. There was no further information provided.
BART authorities reported Wednesday evening that police activity had shuttered the Civic Center station in downtown San Francisco and caused substantial delays at San Francisco stations.

Anna Duckworth, a spokesman for BART, stated that the BART police department is continuing their investigation and studying the video security material.
Around six o’clock in the evening, the transport agency informed the public that the station would remain closed and that trains would continue to pass past the Civic Center area without stopping.
At 7:05 p.m., BART had returned to normal operation and was in the process of recuperating. According to the administrators, there is still a significant delay throughout the system because of the action of the police.
