CYFIRMA, a company that manages external threat landscapes, has raised $5.5 million in a pre-Series B round sponsored by OurCrowd and L&T Innovation Fund.
CYFIRMA stated in a press release that the proceeds will be used for product innovation, expansion into new global markets in North America, Europe, and the Middle East and North Africa, as well as the expansion of existing markets in Southeast Asia, including India, Singapore, and Japan, as well as for hiring across verticals and brand building.
Upon completion of this funding round, CYFIRMA will have raised nearly $18 million to date.
CYFIRMA, which was founded by Kumar Ritesh, combines cyber intelligence with attack surface discovery and digital risk protection to provide early warning, personalized, contextual, outside-in, and multilayered insights. Its cloud-based AI and ML-powered analytics platform offer clients a hacker’s perspective on the external cyber landscape, allowing them to prepare for impending attacks.
According to CYFIRMA, the company has developed a platform that analyzes threat indicators from multiple sources, including the dark web, to provide actionable intelligence on impending attacks. Businesses use intelligence to mitigate risks across both technology and non-technology domains and stay one step ahead of cybercriminals.
The company intends to expand in Japan, India, the United States, and the European Union. In addition, it claims to have government clients as well as businesses in the manufacturing, financial services, retail, industrial products, natural resources, and pharmaceutical industries.
