Pernod Ricard India announced on Monday that it has appointed Jean Touboul as its new managing director, effective immediately. Touboul was the managing director of the Singapore-based Pernod Ricard South-East Asia entity.
He replaces Paul-Robert Bouhier, who assumed his position on January 1 of this year.
Robert had succeeded Thibault Cuny, who resigned in October 2022 due to health concerns.
In his new position, Touboul will continue to report to Philippe Guettat, chairman and chief executive officer of Pernod Ricard Asia, and will serve on the Pernod Ricard Asia Executive Committee, according to a statement from the company.
He was designated as managing director for South-East Asia in 2021.
He held several leadership positions in eastern Europe and at the company’s headquarters before moving to Asia in 2014 as managing director, Taiwan, and subsequently as chairman and chief executive officer of Pernod Ricard Korea, the company said.
Touboul joined the Pernod Ricard Group in 2004 as Pernod Ricard Europe’s financial controller and internal auditor.
His predecessor Robert had worked in France, Ireland, Singapore, South Africa, and Italy since joining Pernod Ricard in 1995.
