Once a month, Starbucks’ new CEO will visit cafés.
Laxman Narasimhan, who officially took the helm at the coffee giant this week, said that his “immersive experience” training at dozens of Starbucks stores, manufacturing plants, and support centers over the past six months had helped shape his understanding of the employee and customer experience as he prepared to succeed Howard Schultz as CEO. The letter was sent out to employees on Thursday.
Narasimhan officially took the helm at the coffee giant this week. As part of his initiative to “refound” Starbucks, Narasimhan has stated that he intends to maintain his employment at the firm by performing monthly half-day shifts at the company’s cafés.
